HTG Production Customer — Day One

How Hatchway Trade Group runs its
entire brokerage on HatchOS

Hatchway Trade Group (HTG) was HatchOS's first production customer. They adopted the platform from day one, ran every workflow in live operations, and shaped the platform that every HatchOS customer runs today.

The challenge

Hatchway Trade Group is a full-service freight brokerage based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, operating under its own authority with a network of independent freight agents. HTG handles FTL, LTL, intermodal drayage, and ocean freight (NVOCC). Like most freight brokerages at their stage, they were running a combination of legacy TMS software, spreadsheets, and manual processes that didn't scale — and didn't reflect how a modern brokerage actually operates.

The specific problems: agent isolation was enforced by convention, not code — one agent could accidentally access another's book of business. Commission calculations were manual. Carrier settlements required tracking factored payments by hand. And there was no AI layer at all — no automated analysis, no tender extraction, no compliance watchdog.

Legacy TMS pricing for a platform with these capabilities would have cost $50,000–$100,000 per year. HTG needed a better path.

"We weren't looking for a vendor. We were looking for infrastructure. HatchOS gave us a platform shaped around how we actually operate — not how a 2010-era TMS thought freight worked."

— RL Jarrett, RL Jarrett & Associates / Hatchway Trade Group

The solution: HatchOS multi-tenant platform

HTG adopted HatchOS as their operating system for freight brokerage. Every core function — dispatch, settlements, commissions, compliance, email, and AI analysis — runs through a single platform built specifically for the complexity of a modern brokerage.

The platform is multi-tenant from the ground up. HTG runs as its own tenant with full white-label branding, isolated data, and custom subdomains. When HatchOS adds a new capability, HTG gets it on their next deploy — no migration, no upgrade fee, no vendor negotiation.

Named workflows HTG runs daily

📋
Dispatch Board
Kanban + list view with SLA timers, real-time load assignments, and per-shipment commission widgets. Tender intake with AI-powered extraction from email — no manual data entry for load details.
💰
Commission Splits & Settlements
Named commission contracts with multi-agent split assignments. Commission periods open, close to lock margins, and move to paid when settlements process. Carrier ACH routes to factor automatically when the carrier is factored.
🛡️
Shield Compliance
Shield, the compliance AI employee, monitors carrier authority, insurance certificates, and safety ratings. Flags compliance issues before they become dispatch problems. Runs on schedule and on-demand.
🎓
Bootcamp Training
HatchOS Bootcamp gives new freight agents scenario-based training in an isolated sandbox environment pre-seeded with realistic data. No risk to production data — agents practice on real workflows before they go live.

What it means for your brokerage

The same platform HTG runs daily is what every HatchOS customer gets when they sign up — including the AI employees, the commission engine, the carrier compliance system, and the multi-tenant architecture. Nothing about HatchOS is demo-ware or feature-flagged for enterprise tiers. Every feature ships to every customer on every deploy.

HTG's continued use of the platform in live production operations means HatchOS is continuously validated against real freight brokerage workflows. When HTG dispatches a load, processes a settlement, or runs carrier compliance, they're running the same build every other customer runs.

"The agent isolation architecture alone was worth it. We had one build, and it enforced the boundaries we needed at the database level — not just by convention."

— RL Jarrett, RL Jarrett & Associates
