Migration questions answered

Will this overwrite my existing HatchOS data?
No. The importer deduplicates before creating anything. Carriers are matched by MC# (then name). Customers are matched by company name. Anything that already exists is skipped, not overwritten.
What MercuryGate report types does HatchOS support?
HatchOS recognizes MercuryGate's standard CSV report exports: Carrier List, Carrier Scorecard, Shipment History, Customer List, and Contact exports. If your column names match MercuryGate's standard format, they'll import automatically.
What about SCAC codes from MercuryGate?
SCAC codes are imported and appended to the carrier notes field. HatchOS uses MC# and DOT# as primary identifiers, but your SCAC data is preserved.
Can I undo an import?
Yes β€” for 30 minutes after an import completes, there's an undo button that will delete all records created in that batch. After 30 minutes, the undo window closes.
What if some rows fail to import?
Rows with errors are flagged in the preview step before you commit. After import, you can download a CSV of all failed rows with error reasons. Successful rows are never affected by individual row failures.
How long does it take to import a large MercuryGate dataset?
Hundreds of records completes in seconds. Thousands typically take under 60 seconds. The import runs in the background β€” you'll get an email when done.
